Powered adaptogens can be added to porridge, mixed into smoothies or stirred into hot milky drinks, but the recipe below is our absolute favourite way of getting these herbal heroes into our body. These Adaptogenic Vitality Balls are loaded with superfoods, taste amazing and provide the body with a great daily dose of adaptogenic goodness.
Half a cup of powdered Ashwaghanda root
1 tsp of dried ginger powder
1 tsp of cardamom powder
1 – 1.5 cups of pure almond butter
½ - 1 cup of raw honey
½ cup of ground almonds
½ cup raw cocoa powder
1/5 cup of hemp seeds
1 cup of desiccated coconut to roll the balls in
Mix together the almond butter and raw honey until it is thoroughly combined
Slowly mix the powdered Ashwaghanda, ginger, cardamom, cocoa, ground almonds and hemp seeds into the almond butter/honey mixture until a thick paste forms.
If it is to dry, add more almond butter and/or honey.
If it is to wet, add more dry ingredients
Roll the paste in medium sized balls and then roll them in the desiccated coconut.
Store in the fridge and eat 2-3 per day for optimal benefits.
